Chicken or Turkey Lettuce Wrap
1 serving (1 wrap)
2 cups lettuce
4 oz chicken breast, or turkey breast meat only, raw
1/4 tbsp olive oil
1/2 tbsp chopped onions
1/2 garlic clove
1 /4 tbsp low sodium soy sauce
Chinese waterchestnuts, chopped
2/5 item green onions
1 /2 tsp sriracha chili sauce
1/4 tsp ginger, minced
Rinse whole lettuce leaves. Set aside.
In a medium skillet over high heat, brown the lean turkey meat in olive oil cooking spray, stirring often and reducing the heat to medium, if necessary. Add onions, garlic, soy sauce, ginger, chili sauce and cook until chicken is tender. Next add waterchestnuts and scallions and cook a couple more minutes. Add chopped cilantro and remove from stove.
To serve arrange the lettuce leaves and add the chicken mixture on top and wrap the lettuce around the meat.
